Promising goalkeeper Lee Nicholls has joined Hartlepool United on a one month loan deal. Former Latics goalkeeping coach, Gary Walsh, now with Hartlepool United has played a big part in the deal which represents a good opportunity for Nicholls to gain invaluable first team experience. Speaking about the deal, Hartlepool manager, Mick Wadworth said: "We're delighted that Wigan have allowed us to bring Lee in to our squad. 'Gary Walsh knows all about him and how good a young keeper he is so we're looking forward to working with him during his spell with us.'' Whilst Nicholls himself told the Wigan Athletic Official Website: "I love it here at Wigan and I get to train with the first team keepers, but if the loan to Hatlepool gives me more experience, then it will be good for me. I'm looking forward to meeting Gary and working with the team."
