Mido backs Bruce as best

Wigan Athletic striker Mido has rated Steve Bruce as the best manager he has played under.[LNB] The Egyptian international has played for nine clubs in seven countries, arriving at the JJB Stadium in January on loan from Middlesbrough.[LNB]And the 26-year-old striker admits he would not be surprised if Bruce guides seventh-placed Latics into Europe ahead of Sunday's clash with sixth-placed Everton at Goodison Park.[LNB]"In my opinion, Steve Bruce is the best manager I have ever worked with," Mido told the Wigan Evening Post[LNB]"I have worked with a lot of good managers of different nationalities during my career.[LNB]"I would put him up with Luciano Spalletti at Roma as the best two managers I have played under.[LNB]"I've played in quite a few countries for some big clubs, and judging with that experience, Steve has been doing everything right.[LNB]"His training and management is excellent, and he gets on well with the lads and that is what you need from a manager."[LNB]Latics stayMido is enjoying his time with the Latics and feels a new fitness regime has helped him overcome the injuries which have dogged him in the past couple of seasons.[LNB]The goals have yet to flow for the former Tottenham forward, with the penalty he netted on his debut against Liverpool his only one to date.[LNB]But he hopes to do enough during the remaining eight games to earn a permanent transfer to the club in the summer.[LNB]Mido said: "I agreed with Steve before I signed that we wouldn't talk about next season before this one was finished.[LNB]"I'm trying to do my best here in order to have a good future.[LNB]"I don't know what will happen in the summer, but if you were to ask me now what I'd like to happen, I would love to be here next season.[LNB]"The team is doing well, and I don't see any reason why we can't get into Europe."[LNB]
