Melchiot linked with Qatar switch
Out-of-contract Wigan skipper Mario Melchiot has reportedly been lined up for a free transfer switch to join Qatari club Umm Salal.[LNB] The former Chelsea and Birmingham defender is out of contract this summer after failing to agree new terms with manager Roberto Martinez.[LNB]According to the Daily Mail, Melchiot, 33, could team up with former Chelsea coach Henk ten Cate at Umm Salal if he agrees the deal.
