James McClean's red card against Blackpool has been overturned and the Irish international is eligible to play against Charlton this weekend.

McClean was given his marching orders following an altercation with Seasiders defender Gary MacKenzie but replays later showed McClean was the victim of a stamp from the Blackpool player.

A statement on the Latics' website read: "The club can confirm that after submitting an appeal following James McClean's red card at Blackpool, an independent regulatory commission convened by the FA has withdrawn his three match suspension for violent conduct."
