McArthur confident of defeating Norwich

Latics midfielder James McArthur is confident of a victory this weekend against Norwich City.

The Canaries are notouriously difficult to beat at their home ground but McArthur is optimistic that the Latics can come away from Carrow Road with all three points.

Speaking to the Wigan Evening Post, McArthur said: “Norwich are playing really well right now. They’re a good few games undefeated so we know it’s going to be a tough game. But we’ve beaten teams who have been in-form already.

“We beat Newcastle 4-0 (last season) when they were flying really so hopefully we can do that at Norwich.

“We got a decent result there last year so hopefully we can go and influence our style of play on the match and get the three points.”

Now would be a godo time to pick up three points after dropping into the bottom three on Tuesday night as Sunderland won their game in hand on the Latics.
