Martinez will be Latics success - Bramble

Wigan defender Titus Bramble is confident new manager Roberto Martinez will have a successful season at the JJB Stadium. Martinez joined the Latics from Swansea following Steve Bruce`s decision to leave for Sunderland, and while the 27-year-old centre-half accepts it may take a while to get used to his methods, it will be of benefit in the long-term. Last season's Player of the Year is relishing the season opener against Aston Villa on August 15 but insists his Spanish boss has to sign new players sooner rather than later so the squad can get used to each other's style of play. "We saw in January that when we signed new players, it took a while for the side to gel," Bramble told the club's official website. "So hopefully the sooner the manager can bring in players, the better. "We're looking forward to the new season as the manager has brought some fresh ideas to the club. "Brucie's regime was different to the new gaffer's, but that's what pre-season is for - it gives you a chance to get used to things."
