Martinez wants more firepower

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is determined to recruit a striker in the January transfer window. [LNB] The Spanish boss is short of cover following the prison sentence imposed on Marlon King, with Hugo Rodallega and Jason Scotland carrying the weight of the striking duties.[LNB] Martinez said: "We are light up front as we have lost Marlon King, which was unexpected. That is something we will have to look at and do something in the next window."[LNB] He added: "We need to strengthen as we have lost a player and cannot leave ourselves open. [LNB] "We know our budget, the money we have to spend. But it is not just about that. [LNB] "It is about finding the right players and personalities. We will work on different markets to try and make things happen."
