Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is satisfied with his side's progress through pre-season. Despite losing 3-2 to League One Norwich at the weekend, he took positives from the performance. Wigan face Aston Villa on the opening day and Martinez said: "It was a good exercise. We still created chances and we looked a threat going forward. "We are where I wanted us to be and have picked up no new injuries, so I am delighted. "Now is the time of the year to sharpen things up, with two weeks still to go before the start of the season."
