Martinez: Swans ready for top flight

Former Swansea boss Roberto Martinez believes his former club are now ready to compete in the Premier League.[LNB] The Spaniard left the Liberty Stadium for Wigan in acrimonious circumstances last year as he felt his team were progressing faster than the club as a whole were.[LNB]He now thinks the Swans could cope as a top-flight side and it would be a huge disappointment if they fail to make the play-offs.[LNB]"It's a bit of a surprise (that they could miss out) because I feel Swansea are in a very good moment to get into the play-offs and to try to get into the Premier League," Martinez said.[LNB]"The club and the city - everything is ready for Premier League football.[LNB]"They have been in the play-offs since December and it would be a massive, massive blow to miss out now, although there is still another game to go."[LNB]
