Martinez: Squad is best yet
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez believes the squad he has assembled this season is the strongest the club have had during their time in the Barclays Premier League.
Results may not yet be backing up that assertion - the Latics are currently 14th with just two victories - but Martinez can see improvements.
"You can see the concentration on the players' faces because they know the competition in the squad is fierce and they need to perform to keep their place," he told the Wigan Evening Post.
"The options we have in the squad at the moment and the strength on the bench is something I don't think we've ever had during our time in the Premier League."
