Roberto Martinez has ruled out a potential move for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha with the London club's asking price deemed too high.

Martinez is a big fan of Zaha and believes the 19 year old has developed a great deal over the past year.

The Latics are rumoured to have had a £3 million bid turned down in the transfer window with Palace holding out for £6 million.

"I think Wilfried has tremendous potential," said Martinez in the Daily Mirror. "He has grown massively over the last 12 months.

"The first time we saw him was against us in the Carling Cup a year ago, but he has come on a lot since then.

"Crystal Palace have high thoughts of him. I don't think it is going to be a realistic player for us. In these situations it has to be value for money."
