Martinez ready for Tottenham test

Latics boss Roberto Martinez knows that this weekend's visit of Tottenham to the DW Stadium will be difficult, but he insists the Latics are ready. Speaking to the club's official website, Martinez said: "Regardless of their Champions League involvement next week this will be a very difficult game."Sometimes having fixtures like that on the horizon can work as an advantage and teams may look at the games beforehand as the ideal chance to gear themselves up and tune their performance."But from now until the end of the season it is all about us, our performances on the pitch and being to take every game as a unique opportunity to collect points."We're facing one of the best teams in Europe, together with Schalke Tottenham have been the surprise package in this season's Champions League and in the manner they've reached the Quarter Final they've arguably been the competition's best team."As a player when you're on the pitch you focus on what is required in certain situations so I don't think Real Madrid will be on Harry Redknapp's team's minds once the game has kicked off."90 minutes is a long time and Spurs' players are used to these situations now and will be able to perform in the manner they've been used to all season."
