Wigan boss Roberto Martinez insists he is not jealous of Manchester City's spending power. Martinez's transfer activity so far tallies to less than a tenth of Mark Hughes' current spend at the City of Manchester Stadium. But the Spaniard says that does not faze him as he prepares his side for the visit of City's expensive string. He insists that the key to a successful football club is building for the future, saying there is much more pressure on Hughes as a manager. Looking forward to Sunday's tie, he insists his players are as good as any that will line-up for their Manchester rivals. Potential"In the market nowadays there are always places to spend money," said the Latics boss. "There are exciting leagues around Europe and South America which have some special players, who are very expensive. "If you have money you can find a way to spend it, but it is not something I am jealous about." Martinez insists he is only interested in bringing in players who want to play for the club and that are willing to earn their place in his starting Xl. "We need to look for different players, go for the 'potential' market and players who are hungry," he said. "That is what we have got - and with a bit of time, games against the likes of Manchester City will allow us to grow and fulfil our potential."
