Roberto Martinez has moved swiftly to pour cold water on rumours that Victor Moses is set to leave the club.

Moses' agent, Tony Finnigan spent much of yesterday speaking about how his client is ready for the next step and he does not expected the Nigerian international to sign a new contract with the Latics.

However Roberto Martinez, who has admitted he will not be renewing the contracts of quartet, Rodallega, Diame, Gohouri, and Kirkland, does not expect to lose any of his under contract stars, including Victor Moses.

"I don't expect to lose anyone who is under contract," said Martinez. "Obviously with the ones that are out of contract, it is something we need to accept - there are certain individual circumstances where some of the players need a new chapter or moment in their careers.

"But I don't expect to lose anyone who is under contract."

The news of Moses' intent had grabbed the headlines yesterday but unless the price is right it appears that hte Latics have no need ot sell.

Moses contract has twelve months to run and supporters will certainly hope that Moses stays for next season after a string of impressive displays in the great escape for relegation.

There is a real feeling that the former Crystal Palace winger can go on and replicate Antonio Valencia is sealing a move to one of the top clubs in the country as opposed to N'Zogbia who is languishing at Aston Villa, below the Latics in the league.
