Martinez: No need for Latics panic

31 October 2010 18:36
Roberto Martinez is refusing to hit the panic button after Saturday's defeat at Fulham left Wigan just a point clear of the relegation zone.[LNB] Latics were playing their third game in eight days and the workload had clearly taken its toll as they barely mounted an attack all match in the 2-0 defeat at Craven Cottage.[LNB]However, Martinez is refusing to hit the panic button and said: "I'm not worried about being dragged down into the relegation struggle.[LNB]"I know the talent and personalities I have in this squad. In the last two games we should have had six points, not four.[LNB]"We need to be realistic. Against Fulham we weren't good enough and there are reasons for that.[LNB]"We have to make sure it doesn't happen again. Until yesterday we were the only team that hadn't lost away."
