Martinez looking for confidence

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez hopes his team can find the confidence to let their flair players shine. The Latics are mired in a relegation dogfight in the Barclays Premier League, with Tuesday night's 1-1 draw against Stoke meaning they have won just once in 10 league games. There were flashes of brilliance on display at the DW Stadium though, particularly from winger Charles N'Zogbia and forward Hugo Rodallega, who were at the heart of Wigan's attacking invention. Asked about Rodallega's acrobatic attempt, Martinez said: "He is that sort of player and I think we have got a few players now that rely on their talent. "When Charles N'Zogbia gets on the ball you can see there is a feeling that something is going to happen, and Hugo has got that talent in his play. It's just at the moment with the responsibility of the players, you could see that when we had something to lose it really became hard and you cannot express yourself. "The moment that you get that little bit of confidence in your play, it will allow your talented players to express themselves a lot more. That is something that we need to work at as a football club."
