Wigan manager Roberto Martinez admits he has been working on a number of 'big' loan signings for some time.[LNB] The Latics boss is looking to build for another campaign in the Premier League after the club stayed in the top flight on the final day of last season.[LNB]While Wigan could have some money to spend in the market should they sell key players such as Charles N'Zogbia, Martinez believes loan additions will be key.[LNB]"The big loan signings, the players we're looking at bringing in, we've been following them for the past six months really," he told the Evening Post.[LNB]"With the big players who will make a difference, you need to be working well in advance - and we have been doing just that. We have a clear idea of who we want next season's loans to be.[LNB]"The only limitation we have is that we only have two loans from the Premier League, and we have to be spot on with those. Anyone can spot a good player, but whether they are good characters as well - and right for your football club - is much harder."[LNB]Goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi impressed so much last term that he is expected to be signed on a permanent deal while it is believed there are plans to bring Tom Cleverley back from Manchester United for a second spell.
