Martinez fully aware of Torres threat
Following on from his two goals that sunk Chelsea at the weekend, Latics boss Roberto Martinez has warned his team of the threat the back to form Fernando Torres. Speaking to the Wigan Evening Post, Martinez said: “He had a few little niggles and injuries and that makes it difficult, but you saw (against Chelsea) on Sunday that the old Fernando Torres is back. “The two goals he scored show that he’s back to full sharpness, and that’s a good sign for Liverpool – but a very dangerous sign for everyone else. “He is in that elite group of top strikers in world football at the moment. There’s maybe five or six at that level, and, as far as the Premier League is concerned, he is quite unique. “He’s a really focused player, we know all about his clinical finishing, and his movement is terrific too.
