Martinez focussed on improving players

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has had to learn quickly on his managerial debut in the Barclays Premier League but insists his focus is entirely on getting the best out of his players.[LNB]The Spaniard has to prove himself in the top flight having moved from Championship side Swansea in the summer and, after three successive league defeats, he knows getting results is the only thing that matters.[LNB]"Once you get over that feeling of pride of being in the Premier Legaue and managing Wigan it is all about the players and making sure they are on top of their game," he said.[LNB]"The biggest difference (in the Premier League) is there is no margin for error, everything is scrutinised, everything has a massive focus.[LNB]"In terms of the high standards and daily work it is very similar. It is getting a group of winning players working together."
