Latics boss Roberto Martinez is expecting to add at least two new faces to his Wigan Athletic squad before the close of the transfer window. The Latics boss was quizzed by reporters after the 2-0 victory over Q.P.R. regarding the future of Hugo Rodallega, but Martinez is 100% sure that no further players will be leaving the DW Stadium before the close of the transfer window on Wednesday. When asked if he was sure no-one would be leaving, the Spaniard said: "Yes, yes, 100 per cent. You are not going to lose players at this stage of the season that you cannot replace. "When you lose big players it has to be early in the window. We would never stop players going into a different moment of their careers, but it has to be the right valuation at the right time. "The most important thing is Wigan Athletic and at the moment I don't think it is right to lose any players." The Latics are being linked with a host of new signings as Martinez looks to replace Tom Cleverley and Charles N'Zogbia who both left the club over the summer. Albert Crusat of Almeria is being strongly linked with a move to the DW Stadium alongside a permenant switch for Manchester City winger Vladimir Weiss. Weiss' team mate Shaun Wright-Phillips remains a linked with a loan move being suggested and Martinez is also believed to be in the market for a defender on loan after losing Antolin Alcaraz to injury for two months. When quizzed about the potential to bring in new faces, the Latics boss told reporters: "When we lost two important performers in Tom Cleverley and Charles N'Zogbia I wanted to find their replacements within the squad. "But in terms of numbers we are two short and we are going to work really hard to make sure that we bring those two faces in, if not three. "We want to be competitive in every competition, so I expect to bring two or three players in before the deadline. "I have got a very clear idea of who I want to bring in. If we are not going to get the ones I want, we are not going to bring in players just for the sake of it." The next few days will be very important for the Latics. Despite a strong start to the season the squad is a little thin on numbers at present.
