Martinez delays decision on duo

// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez will give Jurgen Macho and Modeste M'Bami another run-out in the reserves before deciding whether to sign the duo.[LNB] Austrian goalkeeper Macho and Cameroon midfielder M'Bami are currently training with the Latics in the hope of earning contracts at the DW Stadium.[LNB]Former Sunderland and Chelsea shot-stopper Macho is available on a free transfer after leaving AEK Athens and started the second string's 4-3 defeat by Manchester City earlier this week.[LNB]M'Bami, who trained with Portsmouth and Wolves in the summer, also played in that game, but Martinez is yet to make a decision on the two players.[LNB]The Latics' reserves are scheduled to play their Blackburn Rovers counterparts next week when Martinez will again assess the merits of Macho and M'Bami.[LNB]"At the moment, we'll assess it further down the line," Martinez told Sky Sports News.[LNB]"I'm not going to make any decisions yet, I think it's too early and I will probably take advantage of the second game they can play in the reserves."[LNB]Kapo backMeanwhile, Martinez is happy to have Olivier Kapo back in his plans after the French midfielder returned from injury in the reserves against City.[LNB]He added: "You can never get enough competition and you can never get enough quality.[LNB]"Olivier Kapo is a player of experience and great quality as a player, and it was pleasing to see him getting through 90 minutes for the reserves and that's another option.[LNB]"Olivier is going to carry on working on his match fitness. We're delighted at the moment that everyone is fully fit and ready for the challenge."[LNB]
