Hugo Rodallega has already stated that he expects to leave the Latics when his contract expires in the summer, but manager Roberto Martinez was coy on the subject.

Rodallega was the subject of much speculation over the closing days of the transfer window but has remains a Wigan Athletic player until at least the end of the season.

Speaking about the Columbian international striker, Martinez said: "I am delighted that a player of the quality of Hugo is with us for the next 15 games.  Everything else is not a worry at all.

"Hugo has shown over the last few seasons how important, how effective and what an impact he can have on a football pitch and we need to make sure that he is as sharp as he has always been.

He needs to fully recover from his small soft-tissue injury and make sure he is ready for the run-in to the season."

Rodallega sat out the game with Tottenham on Tuesday evening amid the craze of transfer speculation surrounding his future. A return for Saturday's visit of Everton is expected.
