Latics boss Roberto Martinez is annoyed that Roman Pavluychenko has got away with his challenge on Gary Caldwell at the weekend. Caldwell was required to have dental treatment after the game as a direct result of the challenge which knocked three of his front teeth out of position. The Latics captain did not leave the field of play and continued to battle against the Russian to help the team earn a valuable point in the fight against relegation. However Roberto Martinez has been left annoyed that the Tottenham man can get away with such a challenge. He told the press: "Gary took a nasty blow to the mouth from Roman Pavlyuchenko. "It's a shame the referee didn't see it because it's the kind of action you don't want to see on the football pitch. His three front teeth were out of position and the dentist has worked on that. "It would take something special to get Gary off the pitch. He shows the kind of bravery and example you want from a captain."
