The Ecaudorian international, who has spent three seasons at Wigan after arriving on an initial loan spell in 2006, has signed a four-year contract at Old Trafford to complete a deal which had become one of football's worst-kept secrets. Sir Alex Ferguson admitted he had 'admired' the 23 year-old 'for a long time', while the player described the move as a 'dream come true'. He added: 'I have enjoyed my time at Wigan but I am thrilled to have the chance to challenge for the biggest honours in club football here. Playing in front of 76,000 fans alongside players like Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Ryan Giggs will be an amazing experience. I can't wait to get started.'
