Latics will bounce back - Scharner

Wigan utility-man Paul Scharner has no doubts the Latics will soon get back to winning ways. After an opening-day victory at Aston Villa, Roberto Martinez's side have lost the last four games, including being dumped out of the Carling Cup at Blackpool. Scharner feels the club are going through a transitional period in the wake of the arrival of Martinez and a number of new faces. "It's quite a difficult situation at the moment because when you're not picking up points you can start to get nervous about where you are," Scharner told the club's official website. "We've had a number of new players come in who haven't got experience of the Premier League, so it's going to take them time to adjust to it. "But we're certainly getting there as a group, and now we need to concentrate on getting back onto winning street."
