Spanish sports daily, Marca, has reported that the Latics are set to sign Atletico Madrid forward German Pacheco in a deal worth £1million this week. The 19 year old forward has spent much of the season playing for the same Atletico Madrid B team where former Latics target Daniel de Gea spent much of last season. It is believed that Martinez spotted the Argentine during his loan spell wiht Rayo Vallecano, the former club of Momo Diame. Pacheco holds a Spanish passport, and could well turn out to be another diamond in the rough for Roberto Martinez. Equally, the move could jsut be paper talk on behalf on Marca.
