Latics boosted by Di Santo scan

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has been given a lift with the news striker Franco Di Santo has not damaged his ankle ligaments.[LNB] The Wigan boss had feared Di Santo could be sidelined for weeks, even months, after he was injured in a challenge by Birmingham's Craig Gardner during Saturday's 0-0 draw at St Andrew's in the Premier League match.[LNB]However, the former Chelsea player underwent a scan yesterday which has revealed no serious damage to the striker's ankle - and he could be fit enough to face Wolves this weekend at the DW Stadium.[LNB]
