The 28-year-old is said to be open to a move to France and would be willing to take a pay cut in order to secure such a switch.
The Ivorian-born former France international has endured a torrid time at Wigan since joining the club from Birmingham in 2008.
He struggled for form and fitness throughout last season and was widely tipped to be on his way out of the DW Stadium this summer.
It appears that he may get his move, with Wigan unlikely to stand his way should a suitable offer materialise.
Kapo is currently suffering from a knee ligament injury, which will keep him out of the opening weeks of the new season, but he admits he is open to the prospect of taking on a new challenge.
"There are contacts, but I can't say anything," he told skysports.com. "I am at Wigan at the moment. I am also nursing an injury."
