Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins is hopeful of resolving Roberto Martinez's future as his protracted move to Wigan drags on. Jenkins is currently negotiating with Latics counterpart Dave Whelan over compensation for Martinez's assistant Graeme Jones and chief scout Kevin Reeves. Wigan are thought to have negotiated a fee of £2million for Martinez's services but a figure for the services of Jones and Reeves has yet to be agreed and Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post: "I have been speaking to Wigan over the weekend trying to resolve some issues and I'm hopeful we'll be able to bring a bit of sense to it all on Monday." He continued: "We just want to sort this mess out. We are looking for compensation for two members of our staff and I'm hopeful that we'll get what we want. "I'll be speaking to Wigan again on Monday and hope to put an end to this whole saga because it is time to move on."
