Jenkins expects Wigan bid for Scotland

Swansea striker Jason Scotland is poised for a move to Wigan, according to chairman Huw Jenkins. The 30-year-old has been linked with a switch to the JJB Stadium ever since Roberto Martinez left Swansea to become Wigan's new manager last month while Burnley have already failed with a bid for him. Scotland has failed to travel to Portugal for Swansea's pre-season camp and although Jenkins insists his absence is due to injury, he does expect Wigan to make their move sooner rather than later. "We have had firm interest from Wigan," Jenkins told the Swansea Evening Post. "But as yet nobody has met our valuation for Jason Scotland or any other one of our players. "I've not had any offers since Burnley came in originally came in for Jason but I think you could say Wigan are looking to make one."
