Grounds for concern: Whelan to change name of Wigan's JJB to DW Stadium

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan is changing the name of their JJB Stadium - to the DW Stadium. The Latics' owner is removing the name of the sports chain he sold in 2007 as he prepares to return to the industry. Whelan is set to rebrand JJB's Fitness Clubs as DW Fitness in a £70million deal and as of next season, the stadium he paid £30million for will bear his initials. The title change is further reassurance that he will not pull the plug after guiding his home-town team from the fourth division to the Premier League. Meanwhile, Whelan, who would like a top 10 finish this season, has revealed he will not hold talks about Amr Zaki's future until the summer. With 10 league goals, the Egyptian has attracted interest from several European sides, including Lens and Marseille in France, and a number of teams in Spain. Zaki's parent club, Zamalek, have been trying to spark an auction and want at least £7million. And Whelan believes the 25-year-old may soon get back to his best after overcoming injury. 'He's had problems with both calves,' he said. 'We're now hoping he's over his injuries and that he will rediscover his early-season form.
