Fridays Big Event: Latics United

20 October 2010 07:16
This Friday sees the long awaited inaugural First Avenue Soul Night event and all Latics fans still have an opportunity to be part of it. LATICS UNITED LOOK FORWARD TO SOUL EVENT Over £320 has been raised already in the form of advance ticket sales and donations but we are still a long way off our target of £4,000 to be raised to pay for Anthony Ramsdale’s armchair. We are hoping that Friday night will go a considerable way to raise the funds required but please, please donate whatever you can, if you can to this great cause as we intend to show the Ramsdale family just what a great community Latics fans can be. To make a donation, go to www.laticsunited.co.uk and click the Paypal donate button. You can also buy advance tickets for Friday’s event from the Latics United website, tickets are priced at just £5. Or if you prefer to, you can just turn up on the night but please get there early as a packed house is anticipated as Soulies and Latics fans eagerly look forward to the event. The event is being held to raise funds for Anthony Ramsdale, son of Bernard Ramsdale, the editor of the Ye Olde Tree & Crown website. Anthony suffered permanent brain damage as a result of a serious car accident and needs this chair desperately to help with his rehabilitation. FIVE DJ’S FOR A FIVER Five Soul DJ’s are giving up their time for free at Friday’s First Avenue Soul Night and there will also be a raffle with some special prizes up for grabs. The evening starts at 7.30pm at Whelley Ex-Servicemen’s Club, Vauxhall Road, Scholes. Latics United is an organisation whose aims are to unite the Wigan Athletic community and get all Wigan Athletic websites and their users working positively together to make a difference with the one common theme being that we are all fans of the same club. We hope that with all of your support, Friday will help us make a massive leap towards our ultimate goal. Latics United will also shortly be announcing details of the next fund raiser for The Anthony Ramsdale Appeal as we look to move closer to our target.
