Foley focusing on Wolves

Kevin Foley is refusing to let transfer talk sideline him from the ongoing task of helping Championship leaders Wolves into the Premier League.[LNB] The full-back has been an almost ever-present this season as the Molineux outfit have taken England's second tier by storm.[LNB]But such good form has seen him linked with a summer move to a number of top-flight sides, including Blackburn, West Ham and Wigan.[LNB]But the Irishman has told skysports.com that while he is flattered by such speculation he is simply concentrating on the task in hand with Wolves.[LNB]He said: "I'm just trying to concentrate on my career with Wolves and I try not to take much notice of stories linking me elsewhere.[LNB]Big job"There is such a big job on our hands here and no player wants to get sidetracked by talks like that, so yes it is nice to receive such attention, but it means nothing to me as I am focused on the job here."[LNB]Wolves last played in the top-flight in the 2003/4 season but they were relegated straight away.[LNB]But Foley believes the current squad assembled at Molineux could compete at the highest level this time around.[LNB]"I think we could compete at that level," he said. "The average age of the squad is as low as something like 23 and I don't think many of the lads have experienced Premier League football before and if we did get there we would try to make the most of it.[LNB]Hungry"We are all hungry to achieve at the highest level and we would be working hard to try to establish ourselves in the top division.[LNB]"It is a long way off though and there is still 12 big games to go, so we are focusing on being at the top of the table when the season has finished first and foremost.[LNB]"We are in a great position at the moment and hopefully we can get back to winning ways as soon as possible, hopefully against Plymouth on Saturday."[LNB]
