EXCLUSIVE: Queens Park Rangers line up loan swoop for Wigan striker King

Queens Park Rangers are plotting a loan move for Wigan misfit Marlon King. The Jamaica international has struggled to make an impact with the Latics since sealing a big-money move from Watford last year. King was shipped out on loan to Middlesbrough and Hull City last season and is currently behind Hugo Rodallega and Jason Scotland in Roberto Martinez's attacking options. King is thought to be keen on returning to London in a bid to recapture the form that prompted then Latics chief Steve Bruce to spend £4m on him in January 2008. And QPR manager Jim Magilton is keen on giving the 29-year-old a route back to the capital and is eyeing a temporary deal for the striker. Any move is subject to the future of underfire co-owner Flavio Briatore, who could be forced to give up his stake in the club if the Football League stop him from having any involvement with their 92 registered clubs over his controversial ban from Formula One.
