Even Stephens in friendly draw
A superb strike from Dale Stephens helped Oldham to a 1-1 pre-season friendly draw with Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night.[LNB] The midfielder latched onto a cross from Ritchie Jones before scoring with a low volley from the edge of the area after 15 minutes.[LNB]Wigan, who gave a debut to Mauro Boselli, hit back within two minutes of the restart when Jordi Gomez fired home from the spot after being fouled by Paul Black in the box.[LNB]Oldham's player/manager Paul Dickov entered the action after 73 minutes and soon alerted the attentions of the referee following a tough challenge on Mohamed Diame.
