England duo set for Swans start

England under 21 international dup, Tom Cleverley and Victor Moses are expected to start Tuesday's clash with Swansea City in the Carling Cup. Both players will be hoping for the chance to impress Latics boss Roberto Martinez after annoying spells on the sidelines. Cleverley has been forced out with an injury sustained in training whilst Victor Moses found himself out of the team after the injury he sustained against Hartlepool United in the Carling Cup earlier this season. Now with a small fixture pile up that sees the Latics play 6 games in 20 days, manager Roberto Martinez is likely to rotate his squad for the visit of his former club Swansea City. It is unclear whether Jordi Gomez will retain his place in the side to face Swansea, although the Spaniard is said to be keen play against his former club. Elsewhere, the game is expected to have come too soon for Steve Gohouri who is fighting a fitness battle. Steven Caldwell is likely to continue, although his brother Gary may make his return from injury at some point during the game. Whilst either Momo Diame or Ben Watson are likely to feature in place of James McCarthy following the youngsters injury against Bolton Wanderers. The game will also see the returns of former Latics players Scott Sinclair and David Cotterill to the DW Stadium. Tickets are still available for the game and are priced at just £10 with £5 for concessions and season ticket holders can buy one get one free. CLICK HERE FOR THE MESSAGEBOARD
