Di Matteo reveals Koumas interest

Head coach Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed West Brom are looking at bringing Jason Koumas back to the club on loan. Koumas is one of a host of players the Italian is casting his eye over with the emergency window back open for business and the race for promotion to the Premier League hotting up. The 30-year-old spent five years at The Hawthorns between 2002-2007, making 141 appearances, before completing a £5.3million switch to Wigan where he is now struggling for regular first-team opportunities. Rumours were rife of Di Matteo`s interest in Koumas and he told West Brom`s official website: "We`ve been linked with a few players and he is one of the players we are looking at. "But it depends who we can get as well, it`s not just who we want. The loan market opened on Tuesday and we`re in contact with a number of clubs on players we are looking at. "We get requests for our players and you would like them to go on loan but you can`t because of the number of games and players we have available. The same situation probably applies to everyone else."
