Daniel De Ridder is hoping Wigan boss Roberto Martinez will let him leave if he does not figure in his first-team plans.[LNB] The Dutch midfielder failed to make a single appearance for the Latics last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Hapoel Tel-Aviv.[LNB]He is now back at the DW Stadium, and has a year to run on his current contract, but admits he will look to move on if things do not improve.[LNB]The 26-year-old is set to hold showdown talks with Martinez in an effort to determine where he stands and has revealed that he will ask for a move if he is not considered to be a candidate for a starting role.[LNB]"I would love to stay here at Wigan, but only if I am playing regularly," said the former Birmingham winger.[LNB]"That's what every player wants and that's my only goal at the moment.[LNB]"I will be speaking to Roberto and whatever comes out of that chat will make the situation a bit clearer for myself.[LNB]"Then we'll make the right decision for all parties.[LNB]"The career of a footballer is so short and I cannot waste any more time. That's my feeling.[LNB]"If I'm not going to be playing then I hope that the manager will be honest about it, and I think that he will be."
