Cleverley returns for the Latics

Following his ineligibilty for the game with his parent club Manchester United, Tom Cleverley is set to return to the Latics team to face Manchester City at Eastlands. The United midfielder will add further potency to an already strong looking Wigan Athletic attack. With Victor Moses, Charles N'Zogbia and James McCarthy all showing flashes of brilliance in recent weeks, the addition of Cleverley into the mix offers hope for the difficult trip to Eastlands. Hugo Rodallega is likely to continue up front despite his barren spell, whilst the back four and midfield are also likely to remain unchanged. The challenge for Martinez is where to slot Cleverley into his team. Speaking about the game with Manchester City, Cleverley told the club's official website: "It's an old cliché but every game in this league is tough no matter who you're playing or where it is."Man City away looks a stand-out fixture but if we go there with the same mentality as we had at Tottenham earlier in the season, and Liverpool at Anfield recently there's no reason we can't get a result. "Being a Man United player there's obviously an extra impetus for me to well, but firstly I need to get into the team and to do that I'll have to work hard." The only doubt for the Latics is Emmerson Boyce who is approaching full fitness following the reccurance of his ankle injury. Latics boss Roberto Martinez is unlikely to risk Boyce given the important fixtures coming up for the club. CLICK HERE FOR THE MESSAGEBOARD
