Wigan new-boy Cho Won-hee is pushing for a place in the squad for the trip to Sunderland on Saturday.[LNB] The 25-year-old is expected back in the North West on Monday after he had to return home while he awaited a visa.[LNB]The South Korea international has now sorted out the small details of his move and, with a work permit arranged, he can now begin concentrating on turning out for the Latics.[LNB]Midfielder Lee Cattermole's sending off against West Ham last Wednesday has opened up a space in midfield but manager Steve Bruce may be reluctant to throw him in from the start.[LNB]DebutIf Bruce decides to bide his time with the midfielder a place on the bench would still be up for grabs giving Cho the opportunity to make his debut at the Stadium of Light.[LNB]The former Suwon Samsung Bluewings man has signed on a free transfer and while on trial impressed his new boss almost immediately.[LNB]"I could tell straight away that he was a good player," Bruce told the Wigan Observer.[LNB]"I think he can make a significant impact in the Premier League. That is the reason why we are signing him.[LNB]"He's fast, strong, determined and has a terrific attitude on and off the field."[LNB]Cho will wear the number five shirt vacated when Wilson Palacios left for Tottenham in January.[LNB]
