Caldwell staying positive

Wigan captain Gary Caldwell remains upbeat about their chances of survival this season despite letting slip a good chance to move three places clear of the relegation zone. The Latics conceded a late equaliser to Fulham at the weekend to deny them a much-needed victory which would have taken them above their opponents and within five points of seventh place. "We all feel we deserved more but this league seems to get tighter every week," said Caldwell. "All we can do is concentrate on our own jobs, and if we can do that then we'll be fine."
