// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} 90+5 Alexander is booked for hacking down a showboating Gomez.[LNB]90+3 Burnley look to come forward for a consolation but Thomas clears the danger.[LNB]90+1 Some neat passing from Wigan as they run down the clock[LNB]89 The Turf Moor crowd is still showing their support despite the imminent defeat.[LNB]87 Eagles tries to break into the box but he is cooly hustled off the ball by Bramble.[LNB]85 Rodallega wins a corner as Mears makes a good sliding tackle in the box but Burnley clear the short corner.[LNB]83 It looks like it's all over for Burnley as Wigan continue to look comfortable on the ball.[LNB]81 Andre Bikey is being brought off, Kevin McDonald is his replacement.[LNB]80 Marlon King was the player brought on for Scharner.[LNB]80 Carlisle hits the bar straight after coming back on. He headed the ball across goal from a tight angle and it bounced off the bar to safety.[LNB]79 Carlisle was also injured in that melee but is able to continue.[LNB]77 Scharner got a whack on the head while getting up for the flick on and is having to be brought off with blood dribbling from a cut on his face.[LNB]75 A corner from the left was flicked on by Scharner and Boyce was well placed to poke the ball into the net from close range.[LNB]75 GOAL - BOYCE![LNB]73 Thomas is back on the field.[LNB]73 Nugent brings down Fletcher's cross but it's taken away from him just as he's about to pull the trigger.[LNB]72 Replays show Alexander's boot went nowhere near Thomas' face, but the Honduran did get a whck from the ball.[LNB]70 Thomas is down on the floor much to the chagrin of the home fans, who believe he is play acting after a high foot from Graham Alexander.[LNB]69 Burnley pile on the pressure. Eagles tries to control when he should have shot in front of goal, Tyrone Mears has an attempt blocked and the ball is eventually scrambled clear.[LNB]67 David Nugent replaces Robbie Blake. Coyle throws on a natural striker.[LNB]66 N'Zogbia's cross is not even close to the intended target Scharner.[LNB]65 Bikey rifles in a low effort from the edge of the box that Kirkland gets down to and holds well.[LNB]64 Scotland tries to wriggle his way towards goal when he had options in the box and passes-up the opportunity to create a chance.[LNB]62 Eagles' shot from the edge of the area is almost deflected into Fletcher's path but the ball is collected by Kirkland.[LNB]61 Carlisle is booked for a late lunge on Scharner and the Wigan player has to receive treatment. He will be able to continue though.[LNB]60 Rodallega tries a Steven Gerrard against Hull-esque attempt from the left flank but the ball is well off the target.[LNB]58 Wigan are controlling the possession at the moment and Owen Coyle might need to make a change in order to pull this one back.[LNB]56 Penny tries to make something happen with a long ball forward but it goes straight through to his opposite number Kirkland.[LNB]55 Rodallega plays in N'Zogbia, who sends his left-footed effort into the stands behind the goal.[LNB]53 Thomas is down in the centre circle as the Turf Moor corwd finally goes quiet.[LNB]51 Rodallega gets his second of the match as Scotland sends a ball to the Colombian on the edge of the box and the in-form attacker fires his shot off the post and into the net.[LNB]51 GOAL - RODALLEGA![LNB]50 The sun makes a return as Burnley win a corner off Hendry Thomas. Wigan manage to clear, however.[LNB]48 Rodallega plays a nice looking ball in towards Scotland, but the powerhouse striker cannot control it and Penny picks up the loose ball.[LNB]47 Eagles makes a fantastic break into the box, easily disposing of N'Zogbia, but he lets himself down with the finish, that is planted firmly into the side netting.[LNB]45 Kick-off! the second-half is underway.[LNB]45+6 Half-time. 1-1 is a fair reflection fo the first half as both sides haven't been afraid to come forward. Jensen's freak error could cost his side dear though as we are yet to see his replacement Penny properly tested.[LNB]45+4 Things calm down a bit as it looks that both sides have accepted what the half-time score will be.[LNB]45+3 It's fast and frantic stuff in injury time but neither team has been able to fashion a clear opportunity.[LNB]45+1 Elliot almost gets free in the box but Bramble makes a great tackle and the offside flag eventually ends a great spell of pressure from the home side.[LNB]45 Scotland plays Scharner into a promising position but the offside flag is raised as the fourth official indicates six minutes of added time.[LNB]43 Wade Elliot does well to get into the box but has a bit of an optimistic attempt that is easily saved by Kirkland.[LNB]42 Scotland dinks in a ball but Penny comes out well and collects the ball ahead of the onrushing Wigan players.[LNB]41 Wigan surge forward and Gomez gives Penny his first touch with a left-footed curler that bounced just in front of the Peruvian. Penny held it well though.[LNB]39 Corner for Burnley as Eagles' cross is sliced behind by Emmerson Boyce. Bikey gets his head to the ball but cannot control his effort and it's out for a goal kick.[LNB]36 Scotland gets a little too physical as he tries to muscle his way past Clarke Carlisle and gives away a free-kick.[LNB]35 Eagles is sent dashing into the box after a great back-heel from Fletcher but Titus Bramble gets to the ball first and calmly clears.[LNB]33 Wigan break forward as Rodallega gets in behind the defence but it comes to nothing and Burnley have the chance to hit-back before Stephen Jordan sends a pass astray and the danger is averted.[LNB]31 Bikey is penalised after a tussle with Thomas as the battle in central midfield continues.[LNB]29 It seems as though Charles N'Zogbia has switched to left-back in place of Figueroa as Gomez slots into the midfield.[LNB]27 Blake sends a free-kick straight into the wall and Wigan manage to clear easily.[LNB]27 Jordi Gomez will replace the injured Figueroa for Wigan.[LNB]26 Figueroa is down again and it looks as though he'll have to be replaced this time.[LNB]25 Bramble goes down in the box as a free-kick is floated in but the referee is having none of the penalty appeals.[LNB]23 Wigan are having the majority of the ball at the moment but the Burnley defence is looking fairly comfortable keeping them out.[LNB]21 Figueroa looks as if he'll be able to continue as the referee asks for the floodlights to be turned on.[LNB]20 Wigan have an injury worry now as Figueroa falls to the ground after the battle in the box.[LNB]19 Chris Eagles wins a corner after some good work down the right but the ball is eventually cleared after a scrap in the box.[LNB]17 Rodallega is full of confidence and lets fly from an outrageous distance. It ends up going for a throw after being deflected off Jason Scotland.[LNB]15 The fans gave Jensen a great ovation as he hobbled off and are still willing their team on despite the very noticeable setback.[LNB]14 Jensen is in no fit state to continue and is forced off to be replaced by the brilliantly named Peruvian Diego Penny.[LNB]12 Unfortunately, it looks like Jensen has done himself some damage with that slip. The big keeper is back on his feet but is walking very gingerly.[LNB]10 Melchiot sends a hopeful ball in that doesn't look to be causing any trouble but Jensen slips and Rodallega is left with an empty net to tap the ball into. Bizarre goal but they all count.[LNB]10 GOAL - RODALLEGA![LNB]9 Wigan have their first meaningful attack as N'Zogbia's effort is deflected to Rodallega, who tests Brain Jensen from distance. The resulting corner is struck towards goal by Mario Melchiot but Jensen makes a great save with his feet and the hosts escape.[LNB]7 The home fans are in full voice as Burnley look comfortable in possession.[LNB]5 Mohamed Diame tries a long-range effort for Wigan but it's well wide.[LNB]3 Robbie Blake worked into space down the left and sent in a perfect cross for Fletcher. The Scottish striker was left with a tap-in that he sent against the bar and saw the ball bounce down over the line. 1-0 Burnley.[LNB]3 GOAL - FLETCHER![LNB]2 Maynor Figueroa lifts a free-kick into the box but the referee signals that a foul was committed by the atacking side.[LNB]1 Some midfield scrapping early on as both teams try and get a feel of the ball.[LNB]0 Kick-off! The match is underway at Turf Moor.[LNB] The teams exit the tunnel and walk out onto the pitch as the Burnely fans prepare for another North West derby.[LNB] We're about 10 minutes from kick-off at Turf Moor and it looks like the players will be walking out into bright sunshine.[LNB] If you fancy a flutter, Burnley are priced at 6/4 over at SkyBet while Wigan are 7/4 and a draw is 12/5. Is that price a bit generous for Burnley? Judging by their incredible home form you could be forgiven for thinking they were nailed on for this.[LNB] If anyone has any views or predicitons on this match, make sure you drop me an e-mail at alex.williams@bskyb.com and I'll post a selection.[LNB] So, can Burnley bounce back from their derby disappointment with yet another home win? They haven't dropped points at Turf Moor yet this season and are marginal favourites for the clash with Roberto Martinez's Wigan. The Latics are boosted by the news that Chris Kirkland and Paul Scharner, who were injury doubts, both make the starting line-up. Wigan have had an up-and-down start to the season, so who knows what we can expect from them today.[LNB] The referee for today's contest is Lee Mason.[LNB]Wigan: Kirkland, Melchiot, Boyce, Bramble, Figueroa, N'Zogbia, Thomas, Diame, Rodallega, Scharner, Scotland.
