Burnley clinch loan deal for Monaco striker Frederic Nimani

Burnley have signed French striker Frederic Nimani on loan, with an option to buy him for a club record £3.5million.

The 6ft 4in France Under 21 international impressed on trial and has joined from Monaco initially until the end of the season.

Other clubs wanted Nimani but Burnley offered the chance of regular games.

Meanwhile Fulham are ready to rival Wigan in their bid for Sporting Gijon's Roberto Canella, the Spain Under 21 defender.
