Bruce warned off Charlie
A number of sources have today revealed Steve Bruce's interest in taking Charles N'Zogbia to the Stadium of Light. The 24 year old won a host of end of season awards after a very impressive season for the Latics. So much so he has attracted interest from an number of clubs. After turning down interest from Birmingham City, the Latics are now set to turn away Steve Bruce's interest. In typically cowardly fashion, Bruce aimed to unsettle the player through media speculation rather than making a proper approach to the club. It is however believed that N'Zogbia would rather play in the exciting, fast paced football environment that Roberto Martinez is forming at the DW Stadium. There is also the consideration that Sunderland is in the middle of the North East and in an area where the Frenchman couldn't wait to leave after an unhappy spell with Newcastle.
