Bruce eager to bolster Wigan attack

Wigan manager Steve Bruce is intent on strengthening his attacking options next season.

While the club's top flight status is secured, they have the joint second poorest scoring record in the Barclays Premier League.

Bruce said: "You don't have to be a rocket scientist to work out where we are looking and where to improve.

"It's always at the attacking end of the pitch where things are difficult. Even if you have huge finances, it is not easy to get one who can do it.

"For us to find one who is going to get 12 or 15 goals in the league, we have to unearth one."
