Wigan boss Steve Bruce has admitted his gamble in playing Michael Brown and Mido against Fulham failed.[LNB] The Latics chief knew both players were not really fit to play, but the former Birmingham boss fielded the pair anyway.[LNB]The move backfired in the first half against Fulham as both players had to be withdrawn.[LNB]"We've made too many changes," admitted Bruce. "Brown's sick before the game and Mido's only half fit. I shouldn't have played them.[LNB]Not worked"You always have to learn from it. I have learned from it. You can't play people who aren't 100 per cent fit. I've taken a gamble today and it's not worked.[LNB]"I thought they were the team that took the ball and looked a threat.[LNB]"We'll take a point and move on. It's arguably the worst we've played since I've been in charge.[LNB]"We played poorly today, but that's eight unbeaten at home. Maybe (the fans) have been spoilt a little bit."[LNB]
