Bramble out of Latics visit

Former Wigan Athletic and present Sudnerland defender Titus Bramble is out of this weekend's game at the Stadium of Light with knee ligament damage. Bramble has established himself well with the Black Cats and has become the club captain this season. Now the powerful defender has suffered knee ligament damage as is expected to be out for the rest of the season. Since the departure of Darren Bent to Aston Villa, Sunderland have lost eight of nine games and the loss of Bramble for this weekend's crucial game will hurt the Black Cats. Speaking to the Wigan Evening Post about the former Latics defender, Roberto Martinez said: “Titus is a really experienced defender, and any team that loses a man of his know-how would be affected.” “As a manager you can’t really do anything about it, and hopefully he makes a speedy recovery.” One former Wigan Athletic player who is available for selection is Lee Cattermole, although it is anyone's guess as to how long he will last before seeing red.
