Emmerson Boyce has today called for the Latics to go all out attack as they fight for survival in the Premier League. The 31 year old full back has been in impressive form for hte Latics and set up the equalising goal at the weekend following his powerful run down the right flank. Speaking to the Wigan Evening Post about the remaining fixtures this season the former Crystal Palace man said: “I managed to get forward quite a bit, and it’s something I have been working on. “Hopefully I can chip in with the creativity and we can keep getting guys on the end of the crosses and score the goals we need to stay up. “Obviously Maynor popped up with the winner as well, so both us full-backs contributed in that area. But the most important thing is the three points and we got those as well.” Boyce also commented that he is pleased to be back from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the team for two months earlier in the season. “It’s great to be back – it’s the longest I’ve been out in terms of injury,” he acknowledged. “We managed to get the three points and the hamstring held out, which made it a double bonus. We really showed the character in the side to come back from a goal behind against a very solid team. “We also showed the creativity we have to get the result we deserved.”
