Wigan defender Emmerson Boyce is hoping to make Latics' starting line-up next season after a frustrating end to the last campaign.[LNB] The 30-year-old made 23 Premier League starts for Wigan last term but endured a frustrating second-half to the campaign when first-team opportunities were hard to come by.[LNB]Boyce only made one appearance after March but in his absence the Latics managed to avoid relegation to the Championship.[LNB]Now the defender is determined to make an impact at the DW Stadium and prove to manager Roberto Martinez that he is worthy of a starting berth.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "Half of last season was frustrating for me, but you put your trust in the manager that he does the best for the team.[LNB]"Everybody wants to play and whether I'm playing right-back, centre-back or left-back I'll always give 100 per cent to the team and hopefully be good enough to make the line-up."[LNB]On Wigan's preparations for the upcoming campaign, he added: "The season's coming and we want to be ready so we're working hard and with a few faces still to come in the squad continues to get stronger and stronger."
