Wigan boss Roberto Martinez has backed striker Mauro Boselli to come good in the Premier League, as soon as he has 'settled in'.[LNB] Boselli arrived at the DW Stadium during the summer from Estudiantes, where he had an impressive goal-scoring record, but the Argentinian is yet to find the net for his new club in four league starts and a Carling Cup tie at Hartlepool.[LNB]Last weekend he missed a gilt-edged chance as the Latics were held 1-1 at home by Sunderland and was substituted soon after, but Martinez is confident the 25-year-old will rediscover his touch in front of goal before long.[LNB]"He will come good, and he has been good in many aspects and many areas," Martinez said.[LNB]"Mauro, like any other player, needs a bit of a settling-in period because the Premier League is completely different to any other league in world football.[LNB]"But if you look at the adjustments as a new player you need to make to get to being yourself in the Premier League, it takes a little bit of time.[LNB]"Mauro is a proven goal-scorer with a fantastic talent and we will get to enjoy his football at Wigan Athletic very, very soon."[LNB]Martinez feels Boselli is already demonstrating good positional sense and steadily adapting to the rigours of Premier League football.[LNB]"More than anything, it is the physicality of the league, and that demands getting to a different level of fitness," Martinez said.[LNB]"We are working extremely hard to get him to those levels, but Mauro is a goal-scorer, a finisher - he is born with it and it is something that he doesn't need to worry about.[LNB]"I have seen him get into better positions game by game and he is creating more chances.[LNB]"Whether he converts those chances or not doesn't bother me at all - if he keeps getting in better positions, he will score goals, and that is part of the transitional period that he has to get through.[LNB]"At the moment I have been very pleased with his work-rate and his understanding of what it takes to play in the Premier League."
